Q: A 12 year old has an invitation to place American Girl Doll for the tea. It has 2 dolls but does not really want to go because she thinks she is the oldest of their children. How old are the children there?

A: My daughter is almost 12 gladly accept an invitation to tea at PMA. I guess the thing is, it is not how old you are but if you want to go and have fun with friends. This is what I would tell my daughter if the issue has been raised.

You would be right to assume that I, as a single mother's son, do not keep up with the latest on dolls, doll collection or culture doll. My experience with dolls complete with my own pair of Barbies and a talking Mrs. Beasley doll that I asked my mother, thinking that owning it would make me more like Buffy on "Family Affair" (I suppose my love affair with the Manhattan life started even before I was aware of him).
