How do you store your LEGO parts?

Q: I bought a set Mindstorms NXT and planning to extend it to other Technic sets. I want to store them in an orderly manner, preferably, also a mobile basis. How do you keep your parts?
A box is an obvious solution, avoiding the question: what kind of box? I want to sort the pieces and keep the job types of pins from each other. I temporarily bought a plastic box with a lid of many small compartments for the job. Perhaps something like that

satisfy me.
A: I use something almost identical to that --

it works pretty well. you probably want something with individual compartments, he built a lot easier.
